JR. SUPPORT TECHNICIAN / SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION / TRAINING

Must be college graduate with IT related degree, preferably B.S. Computer Science, B.S. Information Technology or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferably with at least 1 year IT related work experience of a SEC registered company.
Experience with IT support for vessels is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
Newly graduates can be accepted.

TRAINING / SKILLS / COMPETENCES

Must be knowledgeable in troubleshooting IT equipment such as computers, laptops and printers.
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Windows Operating Systems, MS Office including MS Outlook and MS Lync.
Must have the ability to resolve technical issue and incidents through email, Servicedesk system, phone calls and onsite.
Must be fluent in both oral and written English.
Must be a team player, analytical, result oriented and can work in a service-oriented environment.
Preferably, knowledgeable in TCP/IP, Internet Protocols.
Preferably, knowledgeable in operating network equipment such as routers, firewalls and servers.
Knowledgeable in PHP, MySQL, HTML & CSS is an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Troubleshoot, monitor, test, support, and resolve on-shore/vessels inquiry through the Servicedesk system, email, phone calls and onsite.
Create a detailed documentation and procedures in resolving on-shore/vessels inquiry through the Servicedesk system.
Installation, maintenance and resolution of on-shore/vessels IT infrastructure and computer systems.
Creation of incidents, knowledge database and customized reports through the Servicedesk system.
Working continuously on IT related tasks internally, external suppliers/partners and vessels inquiry.
Conduct IT briefing and familiarization of IT systems/applications to on-shore employees.
Monitors weekly latency of Wide Area Network and Internet leased lines.
Development, trouobleshooting and maintenance of in-house database systems and applications.
Obtain necessary travelling documents to join vessels as required.
Other IT related tasks at any time instructed by the IT Management (BGO) or IT/ROHQ Manager.
